Who is Candice Ayala?

 

Hi There! My name is Candice Ayala! I’m a wife and mom of two. I’m a sewing blogger at CandiceAyala.com and I’m also the founder of SewingPortfolios.com. If you follow me on social media, you know I’m a little obsessed about upcycling and refashion. I love the idea of creating something new from something old while simultaneous going green to reduce our carbon footprint and impact on the world. I knew I wasn’t the only one that feels this way, so I thought the idea of a yearly upcycling challenge would be a fantastic way to discover new talent and provide an opportunity for others to showcase their own unique take on refashion and upcycling, and so this year marks the first year of the Candice Ayala’s Upcycling Challenge.
