I would love to learn how to make clothes that fit me. So I have measured myself, picked what I think is the correct pattern size and sewed my little heart out only to have the garment not fit properly. Grrrr.

Closures for sure and pattern grading. I hate zippers and I’m not really confident with buttonholes either. I don’t sew for myself because I’m not comfortable with pattern grading.

Pattern Making!!! I love drafting my own stuff but it’s always a one & done or one size kind of thing. I’d love to know how to do this on a level that I can reuse & share my creations!

The skill I desperately need to learn asap is how to fix the timing on my serger. 🤣 And how to sew a better button hole on my non automatic sewing machine.

I would love to learn more about my serger. I was so scared to take it out of the box for a long time. I then sat with my book and YouTube and learned it. I would love to get better aquatinted with it though. I would also love to learn more drafting skills!

I haven’t sewn clothes in ages (19 1/2 years) but would like to get back into it. I would like to find the patience and learn how to alter a pattern so it would fit my very curvy, short body. And also maybe learn to paper piece.
heather kuhl
I would love to get better at making swimsuits. It’s so hard to find one that fits that I can afford but mine always turn out wonkey.
