Elaine Johnson – Project #3

This entry was the ultimate hurdle for me, that block that I couldn’t seem to break through.  So many people have been trying to get me into quilting for so long and I have been resisting. I have been to guild meetings, given books, and gone to classes.  I never thought it was for me. But, I kept looking at the dresses and the scraps from the dresses and thinking Joseph’s Coat of Many Colors and it kept translating to a quilt. That is how this up-cycle came to be.  I could not let the scraps go to waste knowing that my granddaughter could have a quilt of all her dresses that she could pass to her children.  I am still not sure quilting is something I want to do, but I am so glad I made this one.
