This is a twofor. I entered a leotard made from a disappointing made-in-China dress & as I looked at my leftover material from that upcycle I thought to myself, “I think I can get another cute item out of that too. My daughter complemented me the other day on my maxi dress & said “Mommy when you outgrow it then I can wear it.” Oh sweet one, Mommy hopes to not out grow clothes at her age…so maybe the best answer is making her a maxi dress instead. I found a cami that I no longer wear the matched & used the yardage of lace to dress it up. Keeping the quick upcycle tips of using finishes in mind, I used the existing hem & quickly had a maxi dress to my daughter’s delight.
