Hello! Here is my submission for the Upcycling Challenge. This is my first time upcycling and I decided to start in my closet. I have two dresses that I have been hanging on to for a long time with hopes that I would wear them again one day. Both dresses were from the Liberty of London line from Target. I looked it up and they were run in 2010 and the last time I remember wearing either of them I was pregnant with my oldest daughter, who is about to turn 7. Neither are particularly my style, but what I love about them is the fabric, which is why I have been hanging on to them. Liberty of London always has amazing floral prints and these two are beautiful. I only used one of the dresses and this challenge has inspired me to create something else with the second dress. I used the skirt of the sundress along with a black and white stripe knit fabric and I sewed the Downtown Tunic by Sew Caroline. I love combining bold floral prints with stripes and I think the Downtown Tunic is a fantastic pattern to mix and match prints as well as fabric types. Thank you for running this challenge, I love stretching myself in new ways!
