Here is an entry for the upcycle challenge which was very special indeed. I had an invite to a royal garden party at Buckingham Palace, I’d sewn a dress from beautiful Art Gallery dragonflies but I needed a bag. I used the free Gerbera wristlet pattern from Blue Calla, some scraps from dress making, a handful of beads from making a fascinator and a very dead pair of old jeans from my wardrobe. That was a great tip to start searching for materials at home. I tried my hand at a little machine applique and couldn’t resist reusing a jeans pocket. I’m very pleased with the result. It was fit for a queen!
