While browsing a thrift store, the color of this garment caught my eye. I was so pleased to see it is a linen blend. Hey June Handmade had just released the Phoenix Top and the top on the pattern cover featured an overlay on the yoke. I was inspired to recreate it and standing in the thrift store I instantly knew this fabric was perfect for the job! The original garment featured tiny pintucks which I very carefully removed with my seam ripper. It took ALOT of pressing to get that fabric flat again! I used a cut of new white eyelet for the yoke overlay and absolutely love how this turned out! It has been my most worn top this summer!
