2018 Upcycling Challenge

Merav Ruthman

I have been a designer with my shop Baby Hobbes Design for over three years now, and this past year, I found my self passionate about recycling and up cycling. I love Kitchy and Shabby-chic style — so playing with linens from the 80’s and pairing them with florals fabrics that are a couple of years old and currently out of print help me in my hopes of decreasing our carbon footprint while making really adorable baby clothes. I typically use pattern pieces cut on the fold; however for these I use Candice’s tip about the lined parchment paper to get the perfect placement of the characters. Thanks for the tip!
