2018 Upcycling Challenge

Naomi Radunovic

My Name is Naomi Radunovic and I live in a small Eastern European country named Montenegro. Here is my submission! I was on the fence about submitting. I didn’t have any ideas and wasn’t feeling overly motivated due to being busy with a one year old, a three year old and life.
After attending her first wedding last weekend where she danced for four hours straight, my three year old requested a ‘princess dress'(A wedding gown!) For her favourite doll. I don’t like to buy such small amounts of fabric so looked to my stash and around the house. The new fabric(silver dots) my Father bought for me last month when he visited from Australia. I then used a sequin table runner that was left over from a friend’s wedding last year and a crib mosquito cover that I was given when my daughter was born but I never used.
I remembered Candice’s tip from the kick off post to not think of things as they are but as fabric. There’s alot of netting/tulle in a Crib Mosquito net!
My daughter is smitten with the result and has been requesting traditional Serbian wedding songs all afternoon so her and her doll can dance.
