Sherri Herrera
I almost decided I was too busy for this, but Cassy from Pearberry Lane gave a little nudge and then the deadline was extended! So this was a great opportunity to re-purpose a dress that I made for myself, but ended up not loving at all. I kept the skirt, but re-made the ruffle along the bottom to be 2 layers and a bit fuller. Then I used the Simple Life Lexi Strappy Dress pattern and some chambray for the bodice. My daughter suggested a small bow and I have to say, it was a great idea. It gave a small touch of colour that pulled the whole look together. We even grabbed a button from my collection that came from an old outfit. Now we have a dress that is loved and I’m happy to have in my laundry. It means someone loves it enough to wear it.
